Honk Lessons From Geese - Part II

Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT "think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds, and let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near"

Last week I shared the benefit of accepting help and giving help to others, how two are always so much better than one.  This week, I have a question for you...Do you appreciate the wisdom of "flocking together"?

Here's a powerful truth, geese benefit from mutual edification.  When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone, it quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.

Honking is how geese encourage each other.  In groups where there is encouragement, the production of the whole is much greater, and is much more powerful.  Such should be the purpose of our words (honking) to build others up.

The two geese I heard last week were encouraging each other and refused to leave the other alone.  They encouraged each other to get back on course with the rest of the "gaggle".  Are you honking encouragement?  If yes, that's what will always get a person back on course, where they belong!
